At Jack In The Box Preschool children have the opportunity to take part in free play, small groups’ and one to one activities. This enables us to ensure that every child receives the maximum of individual attention and helps us to provide the correct activities for their stage of development and not necessarily the age of the child.
We love to introduce our children to a choice of different activities every day. Learning through play is vital to their development. Our aim is to keep our children interested and engaged so that they can express themselves as well as discovering new interests.
Every term we have a theme which some activities will be based around and have a different letter, number or colour each week.
In September’18 we started the term with “All About Me”, we’ve enjoyed making some faces using crackers with spreadable cheese or butter and salad such as cucumber, halved baby tomatoes and cress.
As well as our indoor space we also have an enclosed outdoor play area which includes a grass, tarmac and gravel area to play – as with our indoor setup we like to make sure our outdoor play is varied too and ensure that our children have the enjoyment of this space every day (weather depending). With this in mind we have a dedicated trolly so that you can keep a spare pair of wellies with us for those wet winter months.
